What we cannot accept
Two situations require special handling: mattresses with bedbug infestation (we can still take them, but they require sealed wrapping and a separate disposal route — let us know in advance), and water beds (we need to coordinate the draining before pickup). For both, just mention it when you book.
Donation when possible
When a mattress is in good condition (less than 5 years old, no stains, no damage), we route it to a donation partner instead of the landfill. This is the exception rather than the rule — most used mattresses do not qualify due to health regulations. We will tell you up front if yours is donatable and adjust the quote accordingly.
How to prepare
- Strip the bedding before we arrive — saves crew time
- Wrap the mattress in a mattress bag if you have one (helps with bedbug prevention during transport)
- Make sure the path from the bedroom to the door is clear
- If the mattress is upstairs, let us know in advance so we send the right crew
